How the carpet cleaning process works
We inspect the carpet and the main problem areas first. High-traffic zones and spots receive targeted pretreatment before extraction. We use portable professional equipment, which works well for homes, apartments and spaces where truck-mounted access is impractical.
We need a normal water source and a standard electrical outlet. Heavy furniture is not moved. Small, lightweight items should be cleared before arrival when practical so we can focus on the carpet itself.
Pet odor and difficult spots
Pet accidents, body oils, food spills, dark traffic lanes and old cleaning residue can require additional treatment. We can treat odor and pet-affected areas when the carpet condition allows it, but deep contamination below the carpet or pad can limit what surface cleaning can accomplish.
Some discoloration is permanent rather than removable soil. Bleach, chemical damage, sun fading and worn fibers may remain after cleaning. We explain realistic expectations before aggressive treatment.
Drying time
Most carpet dries in roughly 3–4 hours under normal indoor conditions. Air conditioning, ceiling fans and good airflow usually help. Thick carpet, humid weather and heavily treated areas can take longer.
Keep pets and children off damp carpet as much as possible until it is dry, and avoid replacing rugs, boxes or furniture pads on top of damp areas.
